China Ferro-vanadium Export Price Steadies After Suppliers Resist Lowering Prices Further

Participants in China’s ferro-vanadium market reported a lack of liquidity in both the export and domestic markets in the week to Thursday April 16 after suppliers refused to lower prices further below profitable levels.

Fastmarkets assessed ferro-vanadium, 78% V min, fob China price at $25.50-27.50 per kg on Thursday, flat week on week. The price had been on a general downtrend since mid-March when it stood at $27-29 per kg on March 12.
