PEOPLE MOVES: Chrome veteran Lillja to join Yildirim Group from Afarak

Michael Lillja will join Yildirim Group’s Polymetcore trading arm from fellow chrome producer Afarak on September 1.
Lillja will be responsible for global sales of high, medium and low-carbon ferro-chrome, as well as ferro-vanadium, ferro-molybdenum and other ferro-alloys, Yildirim Group has announced.
The chrome market veteran will be based at Polymetcore in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Lillja has also been tasked with expanding Polymetcore’s trading scope in different commodities and growing the company’s alloys business in line with the vision of Yildirim Group chief executive officer and president Robert Yildirim, the company said.
