WATCH: ‘Split metering system has caused great damage’

The Soweto Action Committee (SAC) Women along with Pimville Community Forum (PCF) and Voices of the Poor Concerned Residents (VPCR), Lehae Dindindawo Landless Movements, Soweto RDP Housing Forum, Sisonke Social Movement, Soweto Electricity Crisis Committee (SECC), Social Workers Revolutionary Party (SWRP), Right to Know (R2K), United Front and #Fuel Prices Must Fall Movement and others marched to the Eskom Diepkloof Offices protesting against the power utility.

Eskom’s split metering system was one of the main issues being blamed for the high tariffs. The march started at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) Soweto Campus main entrance and proceeded to Eskom Diepkloof Offices to hand over the memorandum to the Eskom’s representatives.
